This is a story blog so I will be writing a story about what happens after my version of the apocalypse even though I don't even really believe that the apocalypse will occur. But the idea gave me a really good idea for a story, so here goes...

I had some extra time on my hand so I decided to add to my yesterdays post. Darell's and my most recent encounter with zombies was quite out of the ordinary. The zombie was in the Danbury Harley Davidson dealership. We were looking for some smaller means of fast transportation for patrols or getting around the mall quickly. We had just entered having dealt with a few zombies that came out of the Apple Bee's. Apple Bee's was one restaurant I had never been in and now I probably never will. I mean eating in the same place that zombies are eating. UGH! I think I would barf! Any way we had just busted down the door and the fattest zombie I have ever seen came running at us. Now I don't know if you can imagine the picture in front of us but I'll describe it any way. As the creature ran toward us its belly and arms rippled with each foot that hit the ground. Blood was dripping from its mouth as it's head thrashed from side to side. Darell and I had used all our ammo trying to keep the Apple Bee's zombies at bay so we had no fire power. Darell and I glanced at each other and nodded I jumped to the left as he jumped to the right the zombie charged right between us crashing the through the already broken glass doors into the parking lot. I scrambled over to the nearest bike and kicked the starter. The Harley roared to life and I twisted the throttle the bike sped off leaving a trail of smoke behind it. I drove through the doors and forced the bike into a quick T stop hitting the zombie off his feet before speeding down the street after Darell back towards the Chevy car lot where our truck was waiting to be loaded with our new bikes.

Danbury With Darell
Darell and I have been running around so much I haven't been able to get to a computer. We have been battling zombies for a little over two weeks now and it hasn't gotten any easier. We decided that we are going to use the Danbury Fair Mall as a base seeing as it has almost everything we need. Luckily due to some construction we were able to block off a lot of the doors. Right now we are working on securing the sky lights. When we arrived at the mall there were a lot of zombies inside that we had to deal with. Darell and I had to clear it out. It must have taken a couple of hours to secure the place, but in the end they were all dead, or re dead... whatever you call it! Now we are only going outside of the mall to get guns and such we have been transporting them from different stores all through out Danbury. If there is any one out there who is trying to find a secure place to rest and regroup come to the Danbury Fair Mall we have plenty of room.

If your reading this than you are one of the survivors of the end of the world as we know it. It's been two weeks since the virus broke out people have been dropping right and left all turning into mindless flesh eating monsters. The government calls them X Virus Patients, I just like to call them Zombies.
The effects of the virus reminds me of the virus in "Zombieland". You know the movie where a virus breaks out and every one turns into mindless flesh eaters, and the only way to survive is to follow a list of rules. Well now life is kinda like that, but the virus is moving a lot quicker than that.
The day the virus broke out I woke up to a strange banging at my bedroom door which I always had locked because of privacy. I looked at my clock and groaned it was 5 A.M. too early for me to wake up. I got up and stumbled to the door and fiddled with the touchy lock. I had only started opening the door when it was shoved open knocking me a few feet back. There was my father slumped over groaning with a dark liquid dripping from his mouth.
"Dad are you okay?" I asked trying to get a better look at him without getting too close.
He tilted his head ever so slightly so he could look at me his eyes were glazed over with some sort of yellow puss and blood covered his face. He opened his mouth and a piercing scream escaped, he lunged at me knocking me to the ground. His blood covered teeth punctured the skin on my left shoulder. I screamed out in pain,
"Daddy stop your hurting me! Please!" When he bit down harder I knew that what ever this creature was on top of me it wasn't my father. I wedged my knee between me and the creature and shoved him off of me. I scrambled over to my bed side table and searched through the drawer frantically. I looked over my shoulder and saw the creature pounce towards me. My fingers grasped around the object I was looking for and I spun around cutting through half of the creatures neck. I held the now blood covered dagger in my hand as I stood over twitching creature that had once been my father. Tears began to roll down my face as knelt down to finish the task I hadn't with the first strike.
"I'm sorry Daddy," I whispered, "I love you." I lifted the dagger above my head and swung down with all my might severing the spinal cord of my father. I knelt next to my fathers body sobbing. What had I done? I don't know how long I laid there but once I heard sirens I ran. I knew I hadn't done anything worthy to go to jail for but I still ran. I passed a pile of flesh, bones and clothing that I knew had been my mother and ran out the back door. I rushed into the barn grabbing two of my father's guns and ammo. I threw them in the back seat of the family van and started driving I didn't know where I was going to go but I knew I couldn't stay here. Once I was out of the driveway for some reason I started driving towards may friend Darell's house. I had know him since I was young and we had always talked about what we would do when the zombie apocalypse occurred.
As I drove to his house I saw people running all over the place, some running away some running after. The ones running after looked just like my dad did when he attacked me. My shoulder throbbed as I dodged the car around trying not to hit people. I finally got to Darell's house on the outskirts of town. The house was dark. I hoped they were all just sleeping. I entered the way I knew that would take me down to his room in the basement holding one of my dad's rifle ready to fire if someone attacked me. I opened Darell's bedroom door he wasn't in his bed. I heard someone walking down the stairs and I hid behind a box pointing the gun towards the stairs. Darell walked down covered in blood that wasn't his own. He stopped almost at the bottom and slumped against the wall his eyes glistening with fresh tears.
"Darell." I whispered. He jerked his head up completely alert ready to fight, but when he saw me he rushed over to hug me. I screamed in pain when his arm hit my injured shoulder. Darell looked at it and his eyes widened, he looked me in the eye and said,
"Are you okay?" I smirked at him,
"Never felt better."
"I'll get some stuff to clean that up." He rushed up stairs and I went and sat on his bed. I moved my tank top strap away from the bite mark grimacing. Darell came into the room with bandages and hydrogen peroxide. He went to work on cleaning it out. I groaned in pain as the peroxide did its work. Once he had cleaned it out we realized that if I was going to heal I was going to need stiches.
"Lets get you to the hospital." Darell said starting to help me up.
"No, we can't there are too many people infected with whatever it is. We need to do this ourselves. Does your grandmother have a sowing basket anywhere?"
"Yeah in her room."
"Okay we will need that an a pan of boiling water to disinfect the needle and the thread hurry I'll start the water."
Darell raced upstairs and I followed. Once the water was boiled and we had sewn me shut we covered it in bandages. I caught a glimpse of Darell's grandparents bodies on the floor in the living room. I gripped him into a hug and we started sobbing together until I blacked out.
When I woke up Darell was wetting my forehead with a cold wash cloth.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You passed out and had a seizure I think the bite must have affected you some how. I thought you were getting the virus, but the most you got was a high fever and your eyes changed color."
"What?"
"Your eyes changed." Darell looked down and to the right.
"What do you mean my eyes changed?"
"Your irises turned white." he handed me a small mirror. I grabbed it from him and looked at my eyes. I dropped the mirror, they had turned white. What happened?
Darell and I stayed at his house for two weeks we fought off multiple zombies and finally decided we had to start moving. I started this blog so that maybe some other survivors might find some hope in it. Our next destination is Danbury CT if any survivors wish to join us find us there we will be there for one week.
Sincerely,
Nina Survivor of the Apocalypse
